Simon Towers

Simon has over 25 years experience in the accountancy profession in the United Kingdom. He has built considerable expertise in helping the self-employed and small and medium sized businesses grow their businesses and meet their fiscal obligations. Simon has specific expertise in working with limited companies, partnerships and sole traders in the following areas: management consultancy, retail, construction, agriculture, IT, professional services and the travel industry. Most are family owned businesses. In addition he has extensive experience working with charities and schools.

Simon began his career with Clifford Roberts Northampton and worked for two years in East Africa with KPMG before returning to the UK. He became a partner in Clifford Roberts and then went on to form Clifford Towers with Monty Lynds with offices in Rugby and Stony Stratford.

Simon is a graduate of Leeds University and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He was a School Governor and has acted as Treasurer for various local bodies including a Rugby Club.

 

Monty Lynds

Monty has worked in the accountancy profession since 1967. Monty qualified as a chartered accountant while working for Price Waterhouse Coopers in Northampton and spent two years with them in the Republic of Zambia.

On returning to the UK he established the Stony Stratford office of Clifford Roberts in 1977. Clifford Towers was formed in 2002. His expertise is in assisting the self employed and small companies both grow their businesses and meet their statutory obligations.

Monty has considerable experience in working with sole traders, partnerships and limited companies in a wide number of industries including construction, the licensed trade, management consultancy, corporate training, IT and agriculture. He has taken a number of voluntary positions with charities and sports clubs.
